I just wanna point out that the increased racism that Black people have been subjected to on the fediverse this past week is part of the larger antiblack backlash to Charlie Kirk's death. HBCUs have had bomb threats called in, at least one prominent Black journalist was fired, I myself was targeted by LibsOfTikTok. People like to act like the fediverse is somehow separate and better than the rest of social media. It's not, not if Black people are still subjected to the same racist violence.

A lot of us are committed to rooting out racism where ever we see it and I think we should be blocking, banning and defederating over the slightest hint of racism. Put offending accounts on blast. Lets get all these assholes off the fedi, because we do need this to be at the very least, an anti-racist space in this time of rampant racism. They want to see cancel culture... lets fucken give it to them.
